Our vintage bags are constructed from antique velvet Suzani sourced throughout Istanbul. Historically, these textiles were crafted by women as part of their dowry and often used as bed coverings or wall hangings to showcase their skills and artistry. Today, these pieces are not only cherished for their historical significance but also sought after as unique and exquisite decorative items, reflecting the cultural heritage of Central Asia.
The fabrics we choose are 50-60 years old and carefully hand cut and hand sewn. Because of the nature of vintage fabric, only 10-30 bags can be made from each design, and two bags sewn from the same vintage fabric will look totally different. Once a piece of fabric is used, that design will not be available again.
